How to Craft and Use the Cooking Table in Deep Dish Dungeon
Build the prep station, turn raw ingredients into cooking components, and finish each dish at the right station.
Crafting guideUpdated October 16, 2026
1. Gather the two building materials
Collect a Log and make 3 Wood Planks in hand Crafting. Keep 2 for the Cooking Table.
Obtain 1 Leather from dungeon loot, or make it at a Workbench using 2 Animal Hide once you have unlocked the recipe.
If Leather is missing, follow How to Get Leather before spending the last piece on a storage upgrade.
Open the regular Crafting menu, choose Cooking Table and craft it from 2 Wood Planks + 1 Leather.
Place the station somewhere convenient to the rest of your camp's cooking equipment.
2. Turn raw ingredients into cooking components
Return from exploring with a Rat, Raw Meat, Bat Carcass, Scorpion Carcass or another ingredient.
If you caught a Rat, process it into Raw Meat in hand Crafting first; this also provides Animal Hide. Do not look for that rat-processing recipe at the Cooking Table.
Interact with the Cooking Table and choose the preparation recipe that matches your inventory.
Collect the prepared result and move it to the appropriate heat-based station.
Cooking Table input
Output
1 Raw Meat
3 Raw Steaks
1 Bat Carcass
2 Raw Drumsticks
1 Red Bat Carcass
3 Raw Drumsticks
1 Scorpion Carcass
1 Scorpion Tail
1 Wild Corn + 1 Water Bottle
1 Corn Dough
3. Cook the result instead of eating it raw
For Raw Steak, put the prepared steak on a Rotisserie or use a compatible Skillet/Oven recipe to make Grilled Steak.
For Raw Drumstick, cook it on a Rotisserie or other station that accepts it.
For Corn Dough, use the Oven to make Corn Bread.
For Scorpion Tail, select a matching cooked recipe rather than treating the tail as a ready meal.
Take roasted food off a Rotisserie when complete; leaving it on too long can burn it.
4. If the table shows no useful recipe
Confirm you built a Cooking Table, not a Workbench. They have different recipe sets.
Make sure the ingredient is in your inventory and has been discovered by your character.
Process whole Rats in hand Crafting before expecting Raw Meat to be usable at the table.
For finished soups and stews, use a Cooking Pot instead. For roasting, use the Rotisserie, Skillet or Oven.
